A 25-year-old Georgia prison guard, Quantraves Hall, was arrested and subsequently fired after he allegedly trapped four state welfare workers inside their office during a violent outburst over child support payments. The incident occurred at the Georgia Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS) office in Warner Robins.
According to police reports, Hall entered the building visibly enraged by his child support obligations. Upon entering, he reportedly turned around and locked the front door, preventing employees from leaving while he berated them with curses and aggressive demands. Hall also allegedly attempted to force his way into a restricted, employee-only section of the facility. The situation became so intense that one employee was later found hyperventilating by responding officers.
Hall was eventually removed by security but later turned himself in to the police. While he admitted to locking the door, he claimed he also unlocked it and acknowledged his verbal abuse toward the staff. The Georgia Department of Corrections terminated Hall the following day, stating his conduct “undermines our essential mission of public safety.” Hall faces four counts each of false imprisonment and terroristic threats.
