Ukrainian military officials reported intense fighting along the front line over the past day, with Russian forces launching attacks across nearly all directions and the heaviest pressure recorded in the Pokrovsk area.

According to the daily briefing from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were 258 combat engagements on December 26. Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 65 airstrikes, using one missile and dropping 174 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they conducted 3,130 shelling attacks, including 115 using multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 3,624 loitering munition drones.

Airstrikes were reported on the city of Kharkiv, as well as the settlements of Prosiana and Pokrovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Ternuvate, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Vozdvyzhivka, and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; and Odradokamianka in the Kherson region.

Ukraine’s missile troops and artillery struck two areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, along with one other significant enemy target.

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, three Russian attacks were recorded. The enemy conducted two airstrikes, dropping four guided aerial bombs, and carried out 97 shelling attacks, including one involving a multiple launch rocket system.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian defensive positions nine times near Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipky, Starytsia, and toward the settlements of Vilcha and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk direction, 12 combat engagements took place, with Ukrainian forces repelling assaults near Pishchane, Kruhliakivka, and toward Petropavlivske, Novoplatonivka, and Kupiansk.

The Lyman direction saw 33 attacks as Russian troops attempted to break through defenses near multiple settlements, including Hrekivka, Novovodiane, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Kopanky, Kolodiazi, Serednie, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Zarichne, and toward Lyman and Drobyshcheve.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight offensive actions near Siversk and Dronivka. Three attacks were stopped in the Kramatorsk direction near Minkivka and toward Virolubivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops carried out 25 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka.

The Pokrovsk direction remained the most intense, with Ukrainian defenders stopping 63 enemy assaults near Shakhove, Pankivka, Nykanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, and Dachne.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, 21 attacks were recorded near Zelenyi Hai, Yalta, Tovste, Sichneve, Verbove, Vyshneve, Vorone, and Rybne. Ukrainian forces also repelled 31 attempts to advance in the Huliaipole direction near Varvarivka, Solodke, and Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, nine enemy attacks were stopped near Mali Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and Mala Tokmachka. No combat engagements were reported in the Prydniprovskyi direction, while no signs of offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

The General Staff said that since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Russian forces have lost approximately 1,203,310 personnel. Over the past day alone, losses amounted to 1,240 troops. Ukrainian forces also destroyed five tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 33 artillery systems, 205 unmanned aerial vehicles, 158 vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system.
