Corporate crypto treasuries are increasingly turning to Ether staking as a source of recurring yield, with Sharplink Gaming reporting tens of millions of dollars in staking income over recent months.
SharpLink Gaming, the world’s second-largest corporate holder of Ether, generated 10,657 ETH in staking rewards over the past seven months, equivalent to roughly $33 million at current prices, according to data published on the company’s dashboard.

The firm said staking activity added approximately $1.4 million in value for shareholders over the past week alone, reinforcing its long-term treasury strategy centered entirely on Ethereum. Company executives reiterated that all held Ether remains fully staked, reflecting a yield-focused approach rather than short-term trading.
Sharplink has continued to expand that strategy by deploying an additional $170 million worth of ETH into the Ethereum layer-2 network Linea, where the assets are used for restaking to capture incremental rewards. The structure combines base Ethereum staking returns with protocol-level incentives tied to the layer-2 ecosystem.
The multi-year staking and restaking initiative, first announced in October, is custodied through institutional-grade safeguards provided by Anchorage Digital Bank, which serves as Sharplink’s qualified custodian.
Sharplink’s move mirrors a broader trend among public companies and institutional players normalizing crypto staking as a balance-sheet strategy. Other corporate Ether holders have increased staking exposure in recent months, signaling that staking yields are becoming a standard component of institutional crypto treasury management.
As more firms seek yield beyond simple asset appreciation, Ether staking is increasingly viewed not as a niche decentralized finance experiment, but as an operational revenue stream integrated into corporate treasury planning.
