OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli.
Clenney, 30, pleaded guilty Monday to an amended charge of manslaughter with a deadly weapon. Under the plea agreement, she admitted causing the stab wound that killed Obumseli, 27, at the Miami apartment they shared on April 3, 2022.
The agreement calls for six years in prison followed by five years of probation. Clenney will receive credit for approximately four years already spent in custody following her August 2022 arrest.
As part of her probation, Clenney must undergo mental health and substance abuse evaluations and complete any required treatment.
Clenney’s attorneys have previously argued that Obumseli was abusive and described her as a battered partner. Obumseli’s family has disputed that account and maintained that he was the victim of domestic violence.
At the time of Clenney’s arrest, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle described the relationship as “tempestuous and combative” and said it had begun in November 2020.
Civil lawsuit also settled
Obumseli’s family filed a civil lawsuit against Clenney and companies connected to the condominium where the couple lived several months after her arrest.
The lawsuit alleged battery and claimed the condominium, property management and security companies failed to provide adequate security despite circumstances the estate argued made the fatal incident foreseeable.
Court records show that the civil claims against Clenney were settled before her criminal plea agreement was announced. The estate filed a notice of settlement in December 2025, and the claims against Clenney were voluntarily dismissed with prejudice in March 2026.
The civil case continued against other defendants.
Clenney had remained in custody since August 2022 while facing the criminal case. Her plea agreement reduced the charge from the original murder case to manslaughter.
